Susan BAINS
City Councillor
Susan Bains is a White Rock City Councillor and community leader committed to building a city that listens, includes, and delivers real results for residents. With 15 years of experience in human resources, she brings people-first approach to decision making grounded in fairness, accountability, and practical outcomes.
Since being elected in 2025, Susan has worked to improve transparency in civic processes and help residents understand long-term planning, including Official Community Plan.
Susan advocates for youth, families, and seniors and secured White Rock’s 2026 Age-friendly Communities Grant, funding planning, housing, transportation, and accessibility initiatives. Susan is committed to responsible fiscal management, supporting cost-effective solutions that deliver value for taxpayers while reducing unnecessary spending.
Her work includes advancing accessibility and safety priorities across waterfront and railway crossings through collaborative, practical solutions. At her core, Susan believes leadership means listening, acting responsibly, and ensuring every resident has a voice in shaping the city’s future.
Laura CORNALE
Candidate for Council
Born and raised in Vancouver to hardworking Italian immigrant parents, Laura moved to White Rock in 2007, founded and operated Laura's Coffee Corner understanding firsthand the challenges and rewards of running a local business while creating jobs and supporting the local economy. Laura sold in 2023 after more than 13 successful years.
Throughout her time as a business owner, Laura was deeply involved in the community, volunteering her time as a board member with the White Rock Business Improvement Association, supporting countless fundraisers and charities, and creating opportunities for people of all abilities, Laura has always believed that kindness, inclusion, and community are at the heart of everything she does. As a wife, mother, entrepreneur and longtime resident, she is passionate about preserving White Rock's unique character, supporting local businesses, and ensuring residents have a strong approachable voice at City Hall.

Anthony MANNING
City Councillor
Anthony Manning returned to White Rock City Council in the 2025 by-election, leading a field of 21 candidates. He previously served on council during the 2018-2022 term.
Anthony has spent four decades in commerical aviation, with a focus on regulatory compliance. This work has taken him across North America and various points abroad.
With a strong community presence, Anthony has served on the boards of the former South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce, Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, White Rock Musuem & Archives, Peninsula Productions and is a past president of the Rotary Club of White Rock.
Ensuring that White Rock's growth reflects the community's small scale, promoting services that encourage healthy, active living for all residents and maintaining our green spaces is what motivates Anthony to serve on council.
Christopher TREVELYAN
City Councillor
Christopher Trevelyan is a 2 term White Rock City Councillor, having been elected in 2018 and again in 2022. He moved to White Rock in 1992 and graduated from Earl Marriott Secondary School. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in History and later a PDP teaching certificate at Simon Fraser University. Christopher also attended Arizona State University.
After completing University, he returned to Earl Marriott where he teaches history,
economics, and politics. He is also a qualified special education teacher. Christopher has also worked as a writer, researcher, and editor for Indus Media Foundation, which promotes the role of Punjabi soldiers during the First World War. In addition, he has collaborated with organizations such as LiveMint, BringATrailer, and the BBC.
In 2003, Councillor Trevelyan was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal by the Lt.Governor of BC for volunteer work. Councillor Trevelyan is married with three children and feels blessed to be able to raise his young family in White Rock. His hobbies include history, classic cars, music, and camping.

Conrad KING
Candidate for Council
Conrad King is an educator and public policy researcher. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, and returned to be a lecturer at UBC after more than a decade as faculty at KPU and Capilano University. At these institutions, Conrad was actively involved in university governance, including serving as Chair of Political Science at Capilano University. Conrad’s public policy expertise and leadership experience will be instrumental if elected by the people of White Rock.
Conrad moved to White Rock with his family in 2021 just after his son was born. He fell in love with White Rock, even persuading his mother to move here. Conrad is dedicated to fostering connections and community growth. As an educator, he has learned the importance of listening, collaborating, and planning for the future. Conrad is deeply committed to moving White Rock forward, together.
